We are usually looking for ways to save energy, but if we want to be healthy and add exercise to our lives, we should be thinking of ways we can move more during our days.
Park further away from the store so u have to walk a little more. Get up to go for that glass of water instead of asking your child to get it for you. Drink more water so you have to get up more often to go to the restroom. (And of course, water is very good for you!) Stand and bounce while you are on the phone. Walk on the spot while you are watching TV. Walk up and down all the aisles at the food store instead of heading straight for what you want. Walk to talk to that person in the office instead of calling them on the phone. Take the kids to the park, and play with them instead of sitting and watching them. When was the last time you were on a swing or a slide? Have some fun, your body will thank you.
